Rock Clicker

Rock Clicker is an idle game about mining one rock. Tap it for points, then spend them on tools and helpers that mine faster. Your helpers keep mining while you are away.

How to play

There are no rounds. The game starts mining as soon as it loads and saves as you go.

1. Tap the rock. Each tap mines points.
2. Spend points in the Shop. More items appear as you mine, with one locked item ahead to aim for.
3. Each copy of an item costs more than the last.

The shop sells two kinds of thing:

• Tools, such as the Sharper Pick and Sledgehammer, add to every tap.
• Helpers, such as Miners and Drills, mine a steady amount every second.

When you come back, your helpers pay out what they mined while the game was closed, up to 8 hours' worth. Your rock also changes as your total grows, from a Pebble through to a Neutron Star.

Controls

• Mouse / touch: tap the rock to mine; tap shop items to buy them. Use ×1, ×10 or Max to choose how many a press buys.
• Keyboard: with the rock selected, press Space or Enter to mine.

Upgrades

Buying the Mining Company opens the Upgrades tab. There, each tool and helper has four tiers. The first three each double its output, and need you to own enough copies first. The fourth tier lets it land critical hits.

The Upgrades tab also sells three boosts, a level at a time:

• Critical Hits: a share of taps crit for five times the points, from 1% up to 80%.
• Power Swing: every tap hits harder, up to double. It opens once your crit chance reaches 25%.
• Hold to Mine: hold a finger, the mouse or Space on the rock to keep tapping. It goes from 2 up to 100 taps a second.

Prestige

After a billion points mined in all, the Prestige tab appears. Selling the mine resets your points, items, upgrades and boosts. In return you get gems, kept for good. Each gem makes everything mine 2% more. Press the sell button twice to confirm.

Scoring

Your score is the total points you have ever mined. Spending points and selling the mine do not lower it. The leaderboard ranks players by this all-time total.

Tips

• Buy a Miner early. Points per second add up while you are away.
• When an item's price gets steep, save for the next item instead.
• Use Max to spend everything on one item quickly.
• Get Critical Hits to 25% to open Power Swing.
• Wait until a sale at least doubles your gems before you sell. The game marks the tab when it does.
