Memory Grid

Memory Grid is a game of pairs on a 6×6 board. 36 tiles lie face down, and every tile has one partner somewhere on the board. Find all 18 pairs with as many points left as you can.

How to play

  1. Turn over a tile to see its face.
  2. Turn over a second tile.
  3. If the two match, they stay face up and you earn 2 points.
  4. If they don't match, you lose a point for each tile, 2 in all. They stay up for a moment so you can remember them, then turn back down.
  5. You start on 100 points. The game ends when every pair is face up.

Tiles that are already matched can't be turned again.

The faces

Every pair has a shape and a fill of its own. There are six shapes: circle, square, triangle, diamond, star and hexagon. Each comes in three fills: solid, outline and striped. That makes 18 faces, and no two pairs look alike.

Each face has a colour too, but you never need it. You can tell every pair apart by shape and fill alone.

Scoring

Your score is the points you finish with. Each match adds 2, and each miss takes 2 away. A perfect game, with no misses at all, ends on 136. The leaderboard ranks the highest scores first.
