Escher Plex

Escher Plex is a first-person puzzle game about gravity. Once you wear the gravity shoes, any metal wall or ceiling you walk onto becomes your floor. Find the exit hole in each level, as fast as you can.

How to play

You start in the Hallway. Its doors lead to the levels, as do the doors off the endless stairs. Training is always open, and finishing a level opens the next.

In Training, pick up the gravity shoes. From then on, wall walking is automatic. Walk into a walkable surface and it becomes the floor, and the view turns to match. Metal takes the shoes. Stone, tiles and concrete do not.

Each level ends at a ring-shaped exit hole. On the way you press buttons, open doors, ride moving platforms and step through doors that open onto somewhere else. On a gravity pad, Space flips gravity or takes the shoes off.

Spikes kill, and falling out of a level sends you back to its start. Either way, the clock keeps running.

Levels

In order: Training, Upside Down, Stone Walls, The Pit, Air Shaft, Pillars, Relativity, Box In a Ball and Doors.

Scoring

Each level has its own clock and leaderboard. The clock starts as the level appears and stops at the edge of the exit hole. Paused time does not count. The board ranks the fastest times, and times over an hour are not posted. Each level also gives a gold, silver or bronze medal against set times.
